In addition to impressive filtering capabilities, Cipafilter includes powerful reporting options that make accessing relevant information quick and simple. Our product tracks all manner of useful information, but we've also made it easy to filter out extraneous details, so that you can always find exactly what you need.
You always have the option of looking at a user's raw browsing data, but on the content-rich, social media oriented internet, with web pages full of ads, Facebook likes, and Twitter feeds, it is difficult to tell exactly where a student has been online.
Powerful filters show what you want
With this in mind, we designed InSite™ reporting to cut through the mess. Instead of having to sort through long listings of every CDN, ad, plugin, and cookie tracker, you can simply view the data that you actually want, like a group or individual's traffic history, listed by page title. This enables you to see if a web page or YouTube video is legitimate research, or a disruption of the learning environment. There's no need for long, confusing explanations to laypeople. You can simply show school administrators, teachers, or parents a history of what a student has been searching for and viewing.
Use our Report Card feature for a different perspective on what's happening on your network. You'll find a bar graph of what's triggering blocked violations, so you can easily see what kind of material is most frequently blocked. You can filter this information by group, user, domain, and more. This makes it easy to get the information you want with the click of a mouse button.
Alongside, we've listed the Top Fifteen Websites by Estimated Time. Need to know where your students are spending the majority of their time online? Problem solved!
For more specific information, you can also look at the Top Fifteen Violation Websites by Browser Hits. Is there a specific blocked site that your students keep trying to visit? You can see how many hits the top fifteen blocked sites have, and what percentage of hits each site makes up.
We've also included a list of the Most Recent Searches, listed by Timestamp and including the query and the search provider, so you can see any currently trending searches.
Network health with Live Status Dashboard
If you're looking for network information in addition to user tracking, check out our Live Status Dashboard. Here you'll find information about the state of your network at a glance.
Across the top of the screen, four circular gauges indicating System Load, User Sessions, Average Authentication Response Time, and Average Server Handshake Time, give you the ability to quickly assess network health.
On the right hand of the screen you'll find six line graphs. The top two display the New Filtered Connections per second, and the Total active connections. Below that you'll see line graphs indicating incoming traffic, the incoming quality of service, the outgoing traffic, and the outgoing quality of service.
These easy to read live scrolling displays provide a quick view of up to the last ten minutes of network activity, allowing you to quickly observe activities like bandwidth control, so you can see that your critical traffic is prioritized. We've also incorporated a live InSite™ report feed to put user monitoring in the same dash as network monitoring, giving you a bird's eye view of your network and traffic, all in one place.
